We are currently looking for qualified candidates for the following positions:

Maintenance Technicians at Lead, Regular, and Apprentice levels who specialize in Airframe, Avionics, Powerplants, and/or Systems to perform work on Lockheed L-100 / C-130 Hercules aircraft

Note: Professional licensing, certification, training, and experience requirements below are N/A to Apprentice positions

Location – Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Mesa, Arizona USA (with occasional international travel)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate or explain proper techniques, method of operation, and safety practices to troubleshoot, repair, functionally test, adjust, and maintain airframe, avionics/electrical, engine/propeller, hydraulic, fuel, and/or pneumatic systems on various aircraft (preferably those listed above)
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various aircraft IAW FARs and Technical Orders
  • Travel to AOG aircraft and perform required maintenance in remote locations with limited notice
  • Follow work orders, document discrepancies, complete paperwork promptly and accurately
  • Ensure proper transportation, storage, or use of hazardous wastes and materials (HAZMAT)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain tools and equipment
  • Occasionally operate and service aircraft ground support equipment
  • Other aircraft maintenance or aviation related duties as assigned
  • If applying for supervisory position candidate must have the ability to function as a lead technician observing, monitoring, documenting performance of other technicians, must provide effective performance feedback for other technicians

Job Requirements

  • FAA A&P License
  • A minimum experience of 10 years maintaining C-130 aircraft. Experience must have been within the last 5 years
  • Documented experience and/or training on Rolls Royce T-56 Engine and Hamilton Sundstrand 54H60 Propeller systems
  • Possess and demonstrate through documented training extensive knowledge of C-130 aircraft systems (training provided by commercial-off the shelf (COTS) or DoD training provider will meet this requirement)
  • Documented training and/or experience showing the ability to rig, function test, and troubleshoot systems; determine when they are operating properly or whether portions of the system must be repaired or replaced; and the type and extent of adjustment and alignment needed
  • Documented training and/or experience showing knowledge of the makeup, operation, installation, and adjustment of a variety of major, interrelated and/or integrated C-130 systems, subsystems, and assemblies such as fuel and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, instrumentation systems, engine(s), landing gear assemblies, airframe, and control surfaces IAW DoD Technical Orders
  • Documented training and experience showing technical capability/experience with C-130 airframes, components, and substructures (should include maintenance of primary and secondary structures)
  • Documented training and experience showing extensive knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, and complex assemblies associated with C-130
  • Possess skill in reading and understanding data and settings from C-130 cockpit instruments and gauges

Physical Demands

  • Ability to reach, bend, walk, pull, sit, stand, crouch, stoop, kneel and stretch for prolonged periods of time. Frequently lift parts and equipment that weigh up to 20 pounds. Occasionally, may lift and carry items that weigh ~90 pounds with mechanical lifting devices or assistance from other workers, if required; and
  • Ability to work in cramped, awkward and strained positions or to climb ladders, work platforms, scaffolding and aircraft structures, and
  • Ability to occasionally work on aircraft in adverse weather conditions

Other Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  • U.S. Citizenship and valid Passport
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to read, understand and apply trade or administrative guides, such as technical manuals, technical orders, blueprints, sketches, and other related documents
  • Have skill in the use of standard and specialized tools and the equipment of the trade, including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands, and external power sources
  • Knowledge of specific hazardous materials and hazardous wastes procedures, including the proper fitting and usage of protective gear and completion of related training
  • Ability to work in regulated areas with toxic materials present, including hexavalent chromium and cadmium (this will include use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective clothing, etc.)
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to follow appropriate safety procedures common to the trade, including Confined Spaces policies and procedures
  • Pass Drug Test and Background Check
